After reading Ashwin’s Blog, I felt like writing one. Venting my emotions thru this. I am super exjited like a kid

After a series of lovely experiences with Barcamp, OCC, the best thing happened to me is Mysore Santhe. You can read about Mysore Santhe here, here and join the Facebook group.

The two hours at Santhe is like a god’s gift for me. I forget the humdrum affairs of life, unwind myself, strike interesting conversations, meet amazing people, watch others eyes, enjoy the curious faces and moreover thank the power of networking. Mysore Santhe is a place where u can find mentors, a place where u can find passionate people, a place where ur ideas takes colors, a place where your restless mind can vent out the thoughts, a place where u can connect to a “family” of friends.

I would love to stress more on the bondage. The human connection so strong that people connect each other brilliantly. I have found a bunch of super-awesome-brilliant-impeccable family of friends.

I am blessed to be part of such a lovely, warm, caring, awesome group of humans. I really want to stress on “humans”. It has become quite difficult to find humans who have a passion for life.

If you are in Mysore during Sundays and If u think(so-called-busy?) you cant make one hour on a Sunday morning, you are in big loss. Come get connected with wannabe Wangdus

“MG Road..Ulsoor.. CV Raman Nagar..”

If you think this typical set of conversations conveyed by a bus conductor , you are wrong

Person X: “Sir. I am going to CV Raman nagar Via MG Road and Ulsoor. Are u going somewhere close by. Can I drop you”
Person Y: “I need to reach Mayo Hall very urgently. I am not getting any bus ”
Person X: “I will leave you near Mayo hall”

X and Y reached mayo hall in time. Y expressed happiness to X and was able to finish off the job on time. Person Z joined X for the next part of the journey until Old Madras Road.

Person Y -> Mr. Sadashivaah (An ex LIC employee currently working as a insurance consultant)
Person Z -> Mrs. Mariyamma (She runs a chai shop near IFlex)

Mrs. Mariyamma was 50th Pillion. Yes. Whenever Person X travel in his vehicle, he make sure someone will be there behind him. When he starts from Source S to destination D, he makes sure what is route to traverse. Obviously there will be some places (Lets say L, M, N O) which excist between S and D. There is high probability that many people start from same source and they are supposed to reach one of the places viz L, M, N , O or D.

Person X -> Yours Truly

I celebrated 50th Pillion Day. The sense of inward happiness, and satisfaction that I had got while dropping these 50 people to respective destinations is invaluable. Some of them are in touch with me.

People talk about issues, pot holes, pollution, traffic snarls etc. They end up riding a 10 seater Scorpio or a 5 seater Santro or some other four wheeler with only one person.

Imagine a system where we utilize every single seat (No matter its a Car, Two wheeler or a Auto). I am pretty sure we can reduce traffic to a significant extent!

If you travel in your own vehicle, make sure you will help others. Try this out once and you will see the difference.

Some more tit bits of information to reduce the chaos!
> Use your company cab. You can sleep, talk, read, listen to your favorite music or peacefully sleep.
> Start off Car pools / 2 Wheeler pools in your company. Check out http://www.commuteeasy.com/, a creation of Vipul Kasera.
> If you are traveling alone, help people (esp old aged people and children) to reach their destinations
> Finally follow the lane discipline and be patient while riding. Honking worsen things!

Lets STOP cribbing about the system and START off bringing a change.

I am looking forward for celebrating “100th pillion say” AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

This idea is hovering in my mind from few months. I have written this entry in NGO Post and it has been marked as one of the TOP stories of the website. You can read the same here

————————————————————————————————————————————————–
“Why cant people after retirement from their career life get into social sector?”

After retirment (The sarkari naukari restricts every Indian to work till 58 Years. Correct me If am wrong in number ), people will be usually sitting idle in home. I know people want to call it retired life and they want a relaxed life. Agreed.

But how many days they want to relax? They can sign up for voluntary work, They can start something very small which will impact society. For example: Recite stories for maild’s son/daughter. People say “charity starts from home”. For me making a difference to ones life is social responsibility but NOT charity.

One of my friends dad is a retired guy. He takes free tution classes for deserving students (For tenth standard and II PUC). I was amazed by his simplicity and energy. What he says is “Lets do our bit for society and leave the rest to almighty”. What if every Indian thinks on the same lines?

I found this is as a very powerful thought. The best part is retired folks will be very experienced and knowledgeble. The amount of patience which our elders have is laudable. Why should this knowledge and experience just get stagnated. It should be passed on to next generations. In this fast moving world, we are losing our identity and tradional values which were regarded as the core of our society. The need of the hour is to transfer all of the good stuff from our elder generations to ours and younger generations.

Lets consider a bank official who had worked for 25+ years. If he can mentor few youth who are taking up banking exams or something like that, It might be change the whole course of life for those youth.

I am thinking of a plan for the NGO(http://divyadeepatrust.org) which I am associated. Bringing granny, grandfathers and our school children together. They can recite moral stories to children and spend some quality time with little angels. Their Life will gain so much meaning and they will also have lot of fun with kids

Encourage your fathers, mothers, aunties and uncles for signing up for small things which they like to do. Encourage them to take up stuff which they have performed. Lets say they were an accountant, request them to sign up for finance related taks for NGOs.

If WE think about bringing CHANGE is our responsibility, We can see the Shining India, outsmarting so called developed countries.

WE Hope. WE should. WE can. WE will

Architect of ‘Operation Flood’, the largest dairy development programme in the world, Dr. Verghese Kurien has enabled India to become the largest milk producer in the world. A man with a rare vision, Dr. Kurien has devoted a lifetieme to realising his dream-empowering the farmers of India. He has engineered the milk cooperative movement in India. It was a sheer quirk of fate that landed him in Anand where a small group of farmers were forming a cooperative, Kaira, District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Limited (better known as Amul), to sell their milk.

In his biography “I too had a dream”, Kurien opens up his heart, talks about his whirlwind journey of creating co-operatives, overcoming the vested interests, thrashes the bureaucracy, gives a new dimension to the empowerment of farmers.

I strongly strongly emphasize that every Indian should read this book. One word that I can use to describe this book – impecceble!

Kurien is my HERO. He is my HERO.
